About Me
I was born at Women's College Hospital in Toronto in 2002. I was raised in Stouffville, ON, attending high school in Markham, ON, before moving back to Toronto in 2020 to attend the University of Toronto. I graduated with an H.B.Sc. in 2025, studying ecology, computer science, and philosophy. I was something of a dilettante in university; most of what interests me is 'complex systems', which led me through many passing interests from set theory to ecosystem ecology to Catholic theology.
In the second half of my studies and in the months after I graduated, I bounced around between jobs and gigs: I was a bartender, a research assistant in an environmental science lab, a social media manager, a copywriter, and a marketing/PR consultant for independent video game developers. It was increasingly unclear to me what I even wanted out of life, and it took a great deal of soul searching to escape those trails of wandering.
In April 2026 I attended the Inkhaven Writer's Residency in beautiful Berkeley, CA. It was a lifechanging 30 days of blogging, rationality, and Gorki List. That month set me on a new trail that I am still walking. I'm not sure where I would be today without that experience.
Today I'm fortunate enough to be doing work that I really like and think is important, full-time, and somehow managing to pay the bills. By day I design wargames, plan events, write, and hang out with cool, intelligent people at Trajectory Labs. By night I read, write, drink herbal tea and craft beer, cook, play Foxhole, browse Wikipedia, eat olives, and spend time with my lovely girlfriend Ali.
