Blogging

I write two blogs. My personal blog is Fire Steel Sea Sky and my AI blog is The Gulf of Corinth.

Fire Steel Sea Sky (link)

A variety blog broadly about science fiction & fantasy, culture, personal stories, game design, food, a tiny bit of fiction, and observations about life. New content every Thursday morning.

The Gulf of Corinth (link)

A blog about artificial intelligence. I am specifically interested in AI governance, AI policy, and international relations, broadly (though not exclusively) through the lens of middle powers. ~1 post per week.

Past endeavours

I was once Senior News Editor at the Trinity Times and later the Climate Correspondent at The Varsity.

I also used to write Philip, Briefly, a fortnightly newsletter; Polar Stories, a publication about the Earth's Arctic and Antarctic; and EcoLogically, a YouTube show breaking down big ideas in ecology, evolution, and conservation into bite-sized questions.

I used to do freelance writing about the video game industry; I've written for MMORPG.com and Dicebreaker. I've also done copywriting, but with any luck I'll never have to do that again.

And yes, I'm one of those LessWrong.com weirdos. I write there on occasion.
